EKOTE is a touring project featuring three original creations: one in dance, one in music, and one in theatre. We play, we sing, we dance — weaving connections between cultures and bringing emerging artists closer to audiences. These shows will tour across Québec starting in the spring of 2026. Stay tuned as dates are gradually added to our programming.
Theatre – Atakuan
Productions Menuentakuan returns with a powerful and unifying show! In 2026, Atakuan invites you to immerse yourself in a world of personal and community stories rooted in the rich Innu oral tradition. Carried by the voice of Omer St-Onge, the show passes on the myths and legends of his community, learned in Innu-aimun through the stories of his parents. With the mischievous spirit inseparable from a true storyteller, these tales reveal the depth of the Innu values of sharing, mutual aid and community. “Every living being has a role to play… every person matters.” Prepare to be moved by stories that still resonate today.
This show, part of the EKOTE tour – Lumière sur les scènes autochtones, is made possible through the financial support of the Government of Québec, powered by REFRAIN (Regroupement des festivals régionaux artistiques indépendants), with the collaboration of Télé-Québec in amplifying the project’s reach.
