Authentic intercultural relations
The Senneterre Native Friendship Centre opened in 1978 and offers diversified programs and services for urban Indigenous people. Its mission is to enhance the quality of life of Indigenous people, help maintain their culture and values, and build connections between Indigenous and non-Indigenous people. The Centre has a boutique where traditional Indigenous art is displayed. In keeping with ongoing tourism development, the new Shabogamak II Camp, located on the shore of Parent Lake, is now available for rent and is the ideal location to enjoy cultural activities of all kinds.
