A 100% indigenous universe

Accessible and welcoming, Boutique Hotel Atikuss and its craft shop offers a complete immersion into the Innu community of Uashat. There is a small hotel, an art gallery, a workshop, and the renowned Atikuss craft shop, where you can see and make the famous Bottes de l’espoir! In this hub of creativity, you will be able to see craftspeople at work and experience first-hand our beautiful ancestral culture. Guests at the small hotel stay in the heart of a vibrant cultural site that includes a craft shop. In 2018, the Atikuss craft shop proudly presented the Queens of the Carnaval de Québec, with their famous Bottes de l’espoir! The founder and owner has won several awards over the years, notably in 2019-2020, when she took home the Woman of the Year Award, as well as the Lodging, Restaurants, and Tourism Award bestowed upon her by the Chambre de commerce de Sept-Îles. She was also given the Indigenous Experience Award by Tourisme Côte-Nord.
