The Uamastakenis Innu Camp site is located on the banks of the Outardes River, an hour from Baie-Comeau. On site, you'll experience various activities related to nomadism, adapted to the seasons, to better understand the deep values of nomads: community life, mutual aid, and respect. These experiences take place at heritage sites, such as the Uamastakenis Portage.
Your hosts will guide you through nature, bringing these heritage sites back to life, taking on the feel of a living museum. On site, you can also stay in a prospector's tent-style dormitory that can accommodate up to six people.
Come experience a stay rich in exchanges, freely discussing a history that is still too little known, yet deeply rooted in the history of Quebec and, more specifically, the North Shore.
