Soak up the spirit of the Torngat Mountains and the Koroc River
Parc national Kuururjuaq is a rugged-terrain, a mystical place that stretches from the sea to the dizzyingly high summits of the northern tip of the Québec-Labrador peninsula. Inuit called this area Torngait, meaning “place of spirits.” The spectacular landscape of this splendid region includes Mount D’Iberville, which at 1,646 metres is the highest peak in Eastern Canada, and the Koroc River, whose turquoise waters originate from the majestic Torngat Mountains and flow 160 kilometres towards Ungava Bay through a wide valley shaped by the glaciers.
