Abitibi-Témiscamingue L'Île du Finlandais

L'île du Finlandais is located south of l’île du Collège on majestic Lake Témiscamingue, in the municipality of Duhamel-Ouest, Abitibi-Témiscamingue. The project site covers 10 acres. This project will enhance the offering of nature-based activities and develop a new, authentic experience, dedicated to promoting Indigenous tourism throughout their beautiful region. The construction of five tourist residences in the form of year-round chalets will be an asset, as most of them close in autumn and offer no services from the cooler season onwards. There will also be a sanitary block on site for community members and tourists. These will be available for Indigenous rituals and other activities. The forest site will be developed with the utmost respect for nature.
