Natural Ceramist

In her studio located in the heart of the Appalachian Mountains of Southern Quebec, Julie-Anne Bellefleur creates functional stoneware in small series, as well as one-of-a-kind decorative artwork. Her artistic approach is intimately linked to a quest for identity and the desire to reclaim the cultural heritage inherited from her Huron-Wendat ancestors, "the Island People." She also draws from cave art to illustrate sacred and timeless space inspired by Paleolithic caves. Navigating between traditional and contemporary styles, her creations are distinguished by their organic, primitive character. Studio open by appointment.
